Custom Garnet with Diamond Textured Gold Ring
Garnets are beautiful and versatile, most often coming in deep red or dark orange colours. There are also some rare garnets that come in blue and even green! Tsavorites are an emerald-green variety of garnet, and as such are one of the most popular and expensive varieties of this gemstone. People have been using garnets in jewelry since the bronze age. Garnets were also found in inlays in Ancient Egyptian jewelry. Throughout the Middle Ages garnets were set in signet rings that served as talismans for protection, both in battles and against plagues. More recently, the Victorians loved setting garnets in clusters mimicking the pomegranate design.
Custom White Gold Ring with Two Garnets and a Diamond
The ring above is a custom design that honours our client’s birthstone – the garnet. Anouk Jewelry created the ring, inspired by the ancient “trinity” design. Textured white gold ring features two garnets flanking a central diamond. The deep red stones add a sense of drama while the clear diamond soften the look with some sparkle.
Although an ancient favourite, garnets are not very hardy. For that reason, we encourage our clients to be mindful while wearing garnets in a ring. Our Care instructions advise removing jewelry while working out with equipment, gardening, rock climbing or during any impact heavy activity.

The little dainty pair above is a custom design. The client chose the Three Leaf Studs earring piece in hammered yellow gold to feature two birthstones, a garnet and a citrine. We loved creating this whimsical pair of earrings – it’s such a creative way to celebrate a connection between two people!
